Recap of CLEO/QELS WOSA Networking Reception (The Beacon, June 2002) The WOSA Reception held at CLEO/QELS in May 2002 was a great success! After filling up on appetizers and beverages, the 35 women in attendance participated in speaker Laura Jewell’s Speed Networking exercises, as Ms. Jewell, President of Jewell Marketing Associates, Inc. discussed Thirteen Tips for Successful Networking! Laura Jewell founded Jewell Marketing Associates, Inc. in 2001, specializing in marketing for start up businesses needing a per project marketing expert as well as corporations needing expertise in marketing services for a special project. Prior to founding Jewell Marketing Associates, Laura led the Marketing Group for Optical Networking in Lucent Technologies. Laura has developed innovative/creative global marketing programs that have included product/service launches in the USA, Europe, China, Asia Pacific and CALA regions for optical, data and switching product and services. These comprehensive programs included marketing strategies, messaging, branding, sales collateral, web, tradeshows, training, PR, Advertising, and Meetings/ Events.
